Hi, I have a Creative webcam VF-0050. It worked on my old computer but I never had a disc for it, downloaded software at the time but I don't remember where from. The camera is not being recognised under my computer or control panel when plugged in, yet the green light comes on it. I have tried it in the different usb sockets but none show it up. I don't think this is broken though as it was fully working and nothing has happened to it. I have a live cam vista IM disc that was with my old webcam that was broken but it doesn't recognise my camera (and I have windows XP Professional on this computer). I have searched google and keep getting taken to the same place on the creative website to download the software, it doesn't show my number but shows a camera which looks the same and most of the links are pointing too. I tried to download one but it came up something about my computer needing 64? and mine is just 32. I uninstalled that one and tried a different one still on creative website, it has installed the creative web cam centre just like the disc did but still won't recognise my camera, it says 'The Creative Camera is not available, it may be used by another resource', yet I have made sure everything is closed down to try it. I have tried a few different downloads from diferent people but none work or they come up with the same problem. Also on one installation it asked me to check that my computer had directx9.0b, mine says 9.0c so this should be fine. Please help whether it is something I need to set up to get my computer to recognise the webcam or if it is the wrong download, and if so do you have one that will work? Your help as always is greatly appreciated. Thanks. |
