In this guide I’ll disassemble a Dell Vostro 14 5468, I will remove the bottom cover, SSD, RAM, wireless card, USB board, heat sink, cooling fan, and motherboard.

Remove all screws securing the bottom cover.
Pry up the bottom cover with a crowbar.
Lift up and remove the bottom cover.
With the bottom cover removed, you can get access to the battery, SSD, RAM, CMOS battery, speaker, hard drive, heatsink, cooling fan, and motherboard.
Disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove three screws securing the battery to the laptop.
Take out the battery from its bay.
It comes with an 11.4V, 42Wh Li-ion battery, Dell P/N: WDXOR.
Dell Vostro 14 5468 has two RAM slots and comes with one RAM, so you can add another RAM module.
Separate the clips and remove the RAM.
The laptop features an SK Hynix 4GB PC4-2400T RAM.
Remove one screw securing the SSD and take it out of its slot.
SanDisk X400 M.2 2280 256GB SSD, Dell P/N: OKOGGC.
Remove one screw and unplug two antenna cables. You can remove the wireless card.
Remove two screws securing the USB board.
Disconnect two cables from the board.
Remove the screw securing the cooling fan and disconnect the fan cable from the motherboard. You can remove the cooling fan.
Remove all screws securing the motherboard.
Disconnect all cables from the motherboard.
Lift up and remove the motherboard.
